Constructive Coffee Farming is the model that guides the way we produce coffee at Rio Brilhante Café. More than preserving or regenerating, it is about continuously building a more fertile, balanced, and efficient production system over time.
"A concept that goes beyond maintaining or regenerating. It is the continuous construction of a functional ecosystem, where agronomic practices accelerate soil fertility, increase biodiversity, and create resources such as water, carbon, and life instead of merely consuming them.
It is based on the balance between modern technological knowledge and natural processes."
Rodrigues, Noé
The Constructive Coffee Farming concept was shaped through research developed in partnership with the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), comparing native Cerrado Mineiro soils, traditional cultivation systems, and the production model adopted at Rio Brilhante Café.
These studies have provided practical evidence of how the constructive model contributes to a more balanced, productive, and consistent system when compared to traditional farming approaches.
